1 TITLE: Approve Vendor Recommendation for Awarding the RFP for DATE: December 18, 2012 PROPOSAL RECOMMENDATION BACKGROUND: We request that the MISD Board of Trustees approve the recommendation as made by the Purchasing Department for awarding the proposal for. Completed requests for RFP # were received prior to the proposal s closing at 2:00 p.m. on October 23, CONSIDERATIONS: Attached is the tabulation and rating schedule from RFP # The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to provide an annual contract with a qualified vendor for the supply and next-day desktop delivery of general office supplies to be used districtwide on an as-needed basis. There were six initial responding vendors. Each vendor s proposal was evaluated based on evaluation criteria set forth in the proposal. Upon completion of the scoring, the three top-rated vendors were identified. Best and final offers were obtained from the three top-rated vendors and a final rating schedule was completed based upon these offerings. This proposal shall be in effect upon school board approval through November 30, 2013, with an option to extend for four additional one-year periods. Consideration was given, not only to the lowest cost, but also to customer service, ease of online ordering through a Skyward interface, website, delivery, past experience with MISD, and references. RECOMMENDATION: The Purchasing Department recommends that the proposal for be awarded to as indicated on the tabulation.
