2 1. The Tournament Circular 1: Basic Information and General Requirements: This is a team event and will be held across two Swiss sections. The A section will be FIDE Rated and teams with an average rating of 1650 or more will be allowed to enter. In the case of a player having no FIDE rating, their CHESSA rating will be used. The B section will be CHESSA Rated and is open to all teams. If there is a rating difference of 150 points or more between two players, the player with the greater rating shall play on the higher board. This applies to both sections. Each team must consist of four (4) players and may in addition field no more than one (1) reserve. The reserve will only play on board Qualifications Proof of registration (payment) may be requested upon registration. 3. Deadlines Entries on the prescribed form (included) must reach the organiser by 21 st September. Communication and other details of information that is required from the clubs appear on the entry form. Clubs must supply all required information on the entry form. Entries must be ed. Publication of the final players list will be done on the 3 rd of October. Round 1 pairings will be published shortly after registration on the 7 th of October. 6. Schedule All rounds will start as scheduled and a player s clocks will be started in their absence. A default time will be decided upon by the Chief Arbiter. The tournament schedule is as follows: 9. All rounds for the B section will use: 90min/90min 10. Equipment Teams must supply their own digital chess clocks. Players having the white pieces in any round must provide digital chess clocks for that round. The digital chess clocks must be in good working order. Additionally, digital chess clocks may be rented for the round from the organiser. A set fee of R20 for 4 clocks per round will be used.
