1 4-H Challenge You and your fellow Sports and 4-Hers have just finish another successful year and have decided to test your wildlife skills out in the wilderness of Meeker County. Along the way to your final destination you run into a number of Challenges that you need to tackle. Fortunately, you have Skills and teammates that can help keep you on your path. Challenge rules and directions: Challenge is for 2-5 players Included in the Game s Skill cards 1 die Instruction page Place Challenge cards face down. Each player draws 1 Skill card The player with the most years in 4-H Sports and goes first by turning over a Challenge card and placing it in the middle of the players. Read the Challenge card out loud. The player taking the turn has a chance to solve the Challenge by either: Playing the requested Skill card. Rolling the die and following the directions on the Challenge card. If the player completes the Challenge by playing a Skill card or rolling the die, the player turns over the next Challenge card and attempts the challenge. If the player does not complete the Challenge, the player to the left attempts the Challenge. Play continues until eight Challenge cards have been completed, the whole team wins as you work together to meet the Challenge. 2 Challenge You are lost in the woods and Can t find the trail -use a Skill Compass Card to find your way and draw next challenge card 1= You find the trail! Draw next challenge card 2= Draw a Skill card, if can t use, 3,4,5,6= Sit & wait for help, next Player. You need a shelter, you have a tarp and a long rope -use a Skill Build Card cut the rope & build a shelter, draw next challenge card 5= You find a sharp rock to cut the rope, draw next challenge card. 6= Draw a Skill card, if can t Use, 1,2,3,4= Sleep in rain, next Player. Your friend fell and cut his knee -use a Skill Aid Card to bandage him up and draw next challenge card 1= You decide to use your shirt for the bandage, Draw next challenge card. 2= Draw a Skill card, if can t use, 3,4,5,6=Next Player Bears in the area, need to figure out What to do with your food bag tonight Role die: 1= You have a rope to tie up the bag high in a tree, draw next challenge card. 2= You hide your food safely away under a Canoe, draw next challenge card. 3,4,5,6= Bear looks hungry, next Player

4 Challenge Canoeing across lake, a storm comes up -use a Skill Compass Card to get across the lake quickly, draw next challenge. 3= Storm goes North! Draw next challenge card 4= Draw a Skill card, if can t use, 1,2,5,6= Yikes, you need help, next Player. On steep rocky path, snake in the way -use a Skill ID Card to decide it s a Non-venomous snake, draw next challenge 5= You skillfully move the snake with a stick, draw next challenge card. 6= Draw a Skill card, if can t Use, 1,2,3,4= ran other way, next Player. You trip and fall, your ankle hurts -use a Skill Aid Card to wrap your ankle and draw next challenge card 1= You find a short branch to use as a crutch, Draw next challenge card. 2= Draw a Skill card, if can t use, 3,4,5,6=Next Player You re getting hungry and find a set of tracks and decide to follow them Role die: 1= You catch yourself a yummie rabbit, draw next challenge card. 2= Its your fellow 4-Her making dinner, draw next challenge card. 3,4,5,6= Bear looks hungrier, go other Way, next Player

6 Challenge Its hot, getting very thirsty -use a Skill Build Card to filter some clean water, draw next challenge card. 3= Found clean stream water, draw next challenge card 4= Draw a Skill card, if can t use, 1,2,5,6= Drank water, got sick, next Player. You lost your compass and need to be heading West -use a Skill Compass Card to start heading West, draw next challenge card 6= Draw a Skill card, if can t Use, 1,2,3,4= Went East, next Player. Its hot, You need some shade, some nice Plants nearby -use a Skill ID Card to see the plants are Poison Ivy, you move on, draw next challenge card 1= You put up a tarp for som shade, Draw next challenge card. 2= Draw a Skill card, if can t use, 3,4,5,6=Next Player Its cold, you need to get warm brrr -use a Skill Build Card to build a Warm fire, draw next challenge card 1= You found a warm blanket in your pack, Draw next challenge card. 2= Draw a Skill card, if can t Use, 3,4,5,6= So cold, next Player
