They order a 9-inch Hot Spicy deep base, a 12-inch Margherita deep base and two 12-inch Vegetarian thin base. Find the total cost of the order. 3 2) Alan and Kate take their 12 year old twins daughters to the Urban Wildlife Park. Instead of buying four individual tickets they decide to buy a Family ticket. How much money do they save? 3 3) Steven is buying new kitchen cabinets. He buys: three Base cabinets of width 50cm. two Wall cabinets of width 30cm. one Drawer cabinet of width 80cm. Calculate the cost of his kitchen cabinets. 3

Mr and Mrs Jones, both 35 years old, take their two children, aged 3 and 8, and Mr Jones s father, aged 70, on a one week holiday to Europe. Find the total cost of the insurance premium. 3 5) Janice is planning to go on holiday to Florida. She wants to book with FloridaSun Holidays and stay at the Parkway Hotel. The table below shows the pricing information for the Parkway Hotel. a) Janice wants to stay in the Parkway Hotel for 14 nights. What will be the price if her holiday starts on 5 th July? 1 b) The Parkway Hotel charges an extra 4 95 per person per night for a single room. How much extra will Janice pay for her 14 night holiday if she wants a single room? 1 c) If Janice books today she will get a 20% discount on her total cost. Find the discounted price of her 14 night holiday in a single room from 5 th July. 2

Their holiday will start on 15 th July and the family will stay for 12 nights. Use the table above to calculate the cost of the holiday. 3 7) The temperature in a supermarket freezer during a 12-hour period is shown in the graph below. a) From 8am, how long did it take for the temperature to rise to -20 C? 1 b) For how long, in total, was the temperature rising during the 12-hour period? 3
