2 A plane crashes on the Island of Keyewai. The 3 survivors must fight for their lives, facing a tribe of cannibals and searching for a way out of Keyewai, before they get eaten alive. 3. Set up the Board 1. Goal The survivors win the game if they collect the 2 radio pieces scattered around the Island and return them to extraction point to get rescued. If you re playing as a tribal chief, your goal is to capture all survivors and bring them to your village. 2. How many can play? If you re playing with 2 persons, one person will control the 3 survivors and the other will control 6 cannibals as a tribal chief. If you re playing with 4 people, there will be 3 players as survivors and 1 player controlling 6 cannibals. Starting Point ; Extraction Point ; Forest Piece ; Village Piece Key Items Drop Tokens Place the starting point piece on the table. Split the remaining pieces between the tribal chief and the survivors in such a way that the survivors have 5 pieces and the tribal chief has 4 pieces (2 of them must be the tribal villages ). Taking turns and starting with the survivors, place a game piece on the game board. When all pieces are set, place the extraction point piece in farthest position from the starting point. Make sure that no tribal villages are adjacent to the starting point or extraction point. (All pieces face the same way). Take the 3 key items and place them on the boxes in the starting point.
3 Take the 5 drop tokens, randomly and without looking at them, and give 2 to the tribal chief. These tokens need to be placed, face down, on central hex of the forest pieces. Survivors start at the starting point, while the cannibals are split evenly across the 2 tribal villages. 4. Movement The game is played in rounds, with the survivors playing before the cannibals. If you re a survivor, roll the die. The number it lands is the maximum hexes you can move. If you re a tribal chief, each cannibal can move 1 or 2 hexes. If you pass over a torch, you can add +1 to your movement. Similarly, if you pass over a swamp, you lose -1 in your movement. 5. Combat & Rescue If a cannibal is in the same hex as a survivor, they will be forced to combat by throwing the dice; the player with the highest number wins. This value can be increased if there are friendly units in the same hex; 1 friendly unit = +1 and 2 or more friendly units = +2. If the winner of the combat is a survivor, the cannibal gets to be respawn (face down) by the tribal chief on a tribal village. That cannibal has to wait 1 round until he is able to move. If the winner of the combat is a cannibal, the survivor is incapacitated and cannot play. If the captured survivor has a radio piece, he has to drop it on that hex. The cannibal can drag only one survivor to a tribal village, one hex per round. If the survivor stays in the tribal village for more than 1 round, he has to leave the game. A fellow survivor can rescue a captured survivor if they are in the same hex. If a cannibal is in that hex, the rescuer must combat and defeat him or risk being incapacitated. The only safe place where combats cannot be held is in the cave.
4 6. Explore the Island Drop tokens are collected by passing over the hex in which they are located. If the hex has a tree, the player must stop in that hex to collect. There are 3 types of tokens. Radio Pieces (2) a player can only carry one radio at a time. Traps (2) a player that falls into a trap is incapacitated and can only free himself by rolling 6 or higher or rescued by a fellow survivor. 7. Equipment There are 3 key items that can be picked up by the characters (one key item per survivor). Backpack allows you to carry 2 radio pieces instead of 1. Flare Gun only usable once; moves all the cannibals 1 hex in the desired direction. Colt m1911 during the combat, if you roll a 3 or higher, you win the combat. Empty (1) nothings happens to the player.
5 8. Survivors You can play as one of three survivors. Tyler Chapman Resilient business man that uses his intellectual capacities to overcome difficult and desperate situations. Special Power: Get a dice re-roll per combat. Lucy Diamond Quick on her feet, this track runner can outrun most of the dangerous situations the island forces upon her. Special Power: Add +1 to her movement. Tommy Crawler Seasoned veteran of the WW2, he isn t a stranger to combat and conflict, being able to outfight most of this opponents. Special Power: Add a +1 to combat value.
