7 Vegetation and Atmosphere At Montagne des Singes : Because of climate, soils in Guiana are in most cases poor and thin. However the vegetation is lush. How some palm trees have adapted to the poverty of the soil? What problem, particularly visible on the ridge of the mountain, plants must adapt? Take a picture of an epiphytic plant, i.e. a plant growing on tree without being a parasite and whose roots have no contact with soil. What is the origin of minerals needed by this kind of plant? At the CSG, Service Meteo : Except hotness and humidity, is there a difference between the atmosphere in Guiana and in Europe? How high the balloon is going up?
