7 2016 Fetured Speker nd Fetured Artist Speker Doug Hitchcox, Mine ntive, grew up in Hollis nd grduted from the University of Mine in Tht yer, he trvelled to every corner of the stte trying to observe s mny species s possible in wht is known s Big Yer. He ended the yer hving seen 314 species in the stte, new record for Mine. Throughout college Doug worked t the Scrborough Mrsh Audubon Center running their store nd leding wlks nd tours. Doug ws hired s Mine Audubon s Stff Nturlist in the summer of 2013, long time drem job for him. In his free time, Doug is one of Mine s ebird reviewers, owner nd modertor of the Mine-birds listserv, nd York County Audubon bord member. Artist Pul Trowbridge studied fine rts t Principi College, the Museum School of Boston, the University of Mine t Orono, nd received Msters of Fine Arts in Pinting from the University of Memphis. He lives in Sedgwick nd hs been pinting, primrily in wtercolor, since the erly 1970s.
