4 Skill Requirements and Gaps Function Level Skill required Purchase Manager Knowledge of fabric types and quality. Price cost calculation Negotiation skills. Sourcing and evaluation of suppliers. Procurement Purchase associate/ executive Calculation for consumption rates and wastage. Orders consumption follow up. Delivery time follow up. Knowledge of different kinds of fabric defects and other quality parameters. Liaison with the fabric manufacturers and dye houses. Color continuity cards & Tests required.

7 Function Level Skills required Production Line Supervisor/ Floor Supervisor Operator In-depth knowledge of production process and inspection methods. Knowledge of different type of fabrics and stitching processes. Ability to guide the sewing machine operators. Man-management skills to manage the shop floor. The Supervisor should be able to motivate the workers. Good machine control. Knowledge of Pattern making. Knowledge of machines faults and maintenance procedures. Knowledge of machine and fabric faults. Ability to sew complete garment.
