5 Orbi 3 ORBI COLLECTION Tapeçarias Ferreira de Sá, manufacturing luxury bespoke carpets since Tapeçarias Ferreira de Sá, since 1946, has evolved to a large-scale organization, without neglecting its origins; the tradition of the art of weaving together with the values and principles instilled by its founder Joaquim Ferreira de Sá. We expand and improve, each day, our production facilities, creating an industrial unit of solid and automated structure, with great capacities of production. All our carpets are custom-made and for us every project is unique and personalized, bearing in mind the personalities and tastes of our clients. We create in our design studio and then manufacture, exclusive carpets and collections, in manual looms, using ancestral weaving techniques: Hand-knotted and Hand-woven, and also in the method of Hand-tufted and 3D Tufted, for the entire world. We have accepted the challenge of cooperating alongside Architects, Decorators, Interior Designers, Carpet Editors and Artists, internationally renowned. We have developed projects for museums, hotels, exhibitions, institutional buildings, public and private. Our commitment is not just to the excellence of our rugs; we also endeavor, proudly, to build relationships of excellence. Ferreira de Sá s culture of quality and luxury rugs, combined with traditional and innovative processes, allows us to offer elegance in a unique style. Orbi Collection, offers a wide variety of techniques (Hand-knotted, Hand-woven, Hand-tufted and 3D Tufted), raw materials (wool, linen and tencel), designs, colours, dimensions, volumetry and shapes for your carpets; a proposal put forward by our well-known designer Carlota Verde. In addition to the sizes* presented in Orbi Collection, we can also offer you the opportunity to order bespoke sizes in all designs and qualities. Therefore, it is up to you to choose any colour, size or design because your imagination is the limit *deviations up to 3% in the size and colours are possible

7 Orbi 5 HAND-KNOTTED These rugs, produced by highly skilled and experienced craftsmen, are woven by a creation of knots in manual looms. These handmade rugs, mostly Portuguese Hand-knotted, are true works of art, both the classical designs as well as the contemporary ones. There are no limits in terms of length and width.

29 Orbi 27 HAND-WOVEN These rugs are produced manually in looms and the weaving process is called flat weave, since no knots are used and the surface looks flat. The width of the rugs can go up to 5,10m, which make it possible to create a wide range of designs on a two-faced surface.

53 Orbi 51 HAND-TUFTED In a Hand-tufted rug the yarn is pushed through a backing, creating a tuft. This method of rug making requires a high level of craftsmanship to efficiently and accurately portray the intricate designs. The tufting method creates a highly durable and beautifully accurate handmade rug that will weather foot traffic for years to come. In this method, the rug can be 9m wide. If a wider rug is requested it is possible to manufacture it with an invisible seam.
