TEXTILE FROM YARN TO FABRIC JACQUARD MACHINES LX 1602 / LX 3202 FOR FLAT FABRICS AND TERRY CLOTH
EXTENSIVE EXPERIENCE STÄUBLI KNOW-HOW FOR ALL TYPES OF WEAVING Exacting requirements and high-performance Stäubli shedding machines guarantee optimal performance and profitability. They perfectly fulfill weaving machine and shed forming requirements. Shed geometries, openings and adjustments are almost unlimited. Weave modifications are extremely flexible and can be changed rapidly. With a cam motion, a dobby or Jacquard machine, Stäubli systems allow you to get the most out of weaving machines owing to transmission systems, quick frame connects or through a custom made harness or carbon fibre frames. Stäubli attaches major importance to the reliability and user friendliness of its shed forming machines. Jacquard weaving solutions The world of Stäubli Jacquard machines is a fascinating one. Throughout the entire world, countless weaving mills produce innovative high-quality fabrics with these reliable and multipurpose machines. The variety ranges from the finest silks to the most complex technical textiles and original decorative fabrics. The Jacquard machines with Stäubli electronic control are highperformance machines, benefiting from many years of technical experience. They are distinguished by their high performance characteristics, the quality of the materials used and their impressive service life. Stäubli Jacquard machines represent a complete range of formats, ranging from 72 to hooks for producing all types of fabric. Stäubli offers its innovation and know-how to all weaving mills, at the international level.
FOR FLAT FABRICS AND TERRY CLOTH The electronic Jacquard machines LX 1602 and LX 3202 are especially suited to the fabrication of flat fabrics and terry cloth at high speeds. They can be configured with number of hooks required for the weaving operation. The range is available from 1408 to 5120 hooks for the LX 1602 machines, and from 6144 to for the LX 3202 machines. Assembling two Jacquard machines together allows formats up to hooks. The LX concept of these machines, which includes the patented M6 module, guarantees optimal profitability in terms of fabric manufacturing. A system of coaxial shafts controlled by additional cams in an oil bath extremely simplifies the kinematics. Perfect balancing of all mobile elements allows both the LX 1602 and the LX 3202 to operate with precision and without vibration, even at the highest speeds. The reinforced kinematics and the rigid built-in frame allow for increased load of 30 % versus the previous versions depending on the formats. These machines are particularly reliable and easy-to-use. LX 1602 LX 3202 AN EXTENSIVE RANGE OF USE The LX 1602 and LX 3202 machines can be used on air jet, rapier or projectile weaving machines. They are designed to be used at high speeds in all formats. These Jacquard machines offer excellent results in all applications, including terry cloth, upholstery fabric, decoration, silk, clothing, automotive seat fabric, Gobelins type fabric or airbags. The load limits are particularly adapted to these types of fabric. Owing to Stäubli's know-how, Jacquard machines and harnesses are perfectly adapted to weaving machines to guarantee optimal installation output. An automatic pick search device and JC6-controlled electronic selvage movement are available as an option. TYPE LX 1602 / LX 3202 Field of application Recommended weaving machines: Air jet weaving machines (LX 1602, formats 1408 and 2688) Air-jet, rapier and projectile weaving machines (LX 1602 formats 3072 to 5120 / LX 3202) Fabrics: all flat and terry fabrics Format 1408, 2688, 3072, 4096, 5120 hooks (LX 1602) 6144, 8192, 10240, 12288, hooks (LX 3202) Intermediate numbers possible by omitting entire modules rows Operating principle Double-lift, open-shed Jacquard machine with cam drive and coaxial shaft system - Fine adjustment of shed opening and inclination M6 Stäubli modules with QUICK LINK type links Electronic control Controlled by an independent JC6 controller, synchronized with the weaving machine 3
PERFECTED TECHNOLOGY LX 1602 LX 3202 TRANSMISSION The LX 1602 and LX 3202 machines are delivered with the pre-installed adaptation elements required for each type of weaving machine. The transmission is based on a cardan drive with bevel gears, whose position is determined according to the weaving machine to optimize the cardan shaft angle. For wide reed spaces or special articles, the cams are calculated judiciously. CONTROLLER Each machine has its own electrical power supply and is equipped with an electronic controller, including a JC6 colour touch screen. This user-friendly interface between the user and the LX features the latest generation of microprocessor. A flash disk of advanced technology replaces hard drive technology and patterns can be transferred alternatively via USB key, external drive or the network. The latter offers multiple possibilities and facilitates weaving room management or several remote sites.
THE M6 MODULE The patented M6 module ensures the connection between the lifting mechanism and the harness. Compact, and engineered from composite materials, the M6 module is sealed and wear resistant and consumes very little energy. The new module design M6 offers additional advantages versus the M5 module thanks to the optimized polar contact and reduced space. The rollers built into the module make hooking and unhooking the harness cords easy. It is equipped with the QUICK LINK system to reduce the harness change time. Depending on how loads involved, the M6 module is equipped with either two plain bearings (version A) or two ball bearings (version B). Module replacement is easy and quick. A) B) SELECTING HOOKS IN A MODULE The double roller enables the upper and lower shed position of the harness cords in double lift. f c f c Low shed position The electromagnet (f) is activated. The retaining hook (c) does not retain the mobile hook (a) which follows the lowering knife (e). a e a e Upper shed position The electromagnet (f) is not activated. The retaining hook (c) retains the mobile hook (a). SIMPLIFIED KINEMATICS The kinematics of Stäubli Jacquard machines is characterised by: Controlled by a single cam housing running in an oil bath An extremely simplified transmission via a coaxial shaft system Perfect mass balance of the moving parts for optimally smooth running Simple and fast adjustment of lift and inclined shed 5
SIMPLE ADAPTATION LX 1602 A E C 579 B D LX 3202 E A Owing to their compact design and numerous configuration possibilities, the LX 1602 and LX 3202 machines adapt easily to all weaving requirements. They can be easily adapted into existing plants having just a small amount of available space. The connections with the harness allow easy installation and thus reduce start-up time. Thanks to its simple operation, personnel training time is reduced; the weaving installation thus is operational much faster C B FORMAT [hooks] A [mm] B [mm] C [mm] D [mm] WEIGHT [kg] LX LX 3202 D Jacquard machine Power supply Support legs (adjustable) The dimension E is adjustable to optimize the angle of the cardan shaft. Controller Reduced maintenance During the Jacquard machine design phase, Stäubli engineers addressed the specific needs and problems of weaving installations. The robust construction of LX 1602 and LX 3202 machines is adapted to daily use. Even in a highly dusty environ- ment, the machines require only a minimum amount of maintenance. The Jacquard machine's maintenance program can be managed automatically via the JC6 controller. The optimized housing design of the Jacquard machine facilitates access to the various elements of the machine and prevent dust from entering. The reduced space requirement of the M6 module improves the air circulation. For the LX 3202 machine, the filters and fans are installed vertically, in order to protect them from the linters.
A DETAILED LOOK AT AN ADVANTAGEOUS INSTALLATION QUICK LINK The QUICK LINK connection system was developed for speedy hooking and unhooking of the harness cord. HARNESSES Thanks to Stäubli's know-how, our harnesses are designed for all applications: labels, silk goods, lining, clothing, upholstery fabrics, table and bed linen, automotive seats, airbags, bedspreads, terry cloth, pile fabric and carpets. Our harness specialists have developed a line of harness cords, heddles and springs depending on the article, the characteristics of the warp yarn and the weaving conditions. The comber boards are made and drilled to customer specifications. The links between the harness cords and the heddles, the heddles and the springs are designed to meet all your needs. BLOBAR BLOWING SYSTEM Designed to facilitate the cleaning of harness springs, Stäubli developed the BLOBAR automatic blowing system, at the back of the downpull frame. The pneumatic blowing device limits fly deposit and facilitates manual cleaning. 7
