3 Elements Quality Drawer Construction & Operation Quality From Start To Finish Auberose is crafted in Cathedral and Quartered Hickory, giving a well-worn and tactile appeal. Materials such as iron, Blue Stone and hand painting add character and intrigue. With the brown finish, an Old World bail pull in antique bronze is used, while antique pewter is used on the white and charcoal finishes, adding a finishing touch of artisan elegance. Delicate hand painting, lattice fretwork, plankedtop tables and the use of metal accents add the allure of hand craftsmanship and the romance of soft forms and rich texture. Full height, full depth and full width drawers for maximum storage capacity. All drawers have strong, time-tested English or French dovetail construction, for years of problem-free use. Plywood drawer bottoms are attached to plywood drawer sides for strength and durability. While the finish is one of the last things we do, it s the first thing you see. That s why at Hooker, we utilize a multiplestep finish process of up to 16 finish steps. This results in an unsurpassed clarity, depth and color richness and durability to our finishes. Through handcraftsmanship such as rubbing and padding, our finishes feel as good as they look, with a smoothness that is delightful to the touch. A wide assortment of occasional items range from cocktail and console tables with metal bases in the charcoal finish to a square cocktail table in the antique white finish with handpainted details. The shaped buffet in our antique white finish has a handpainted scroll motif on the front and a Bluestone top. Three artisan finishes all complement each other to give an effortlessly curated appearance: a warm brown finish with heavy distressing and rub-through, an antique white finish and a soft charcoal finish. Wood & Veneer Construction Many of our furniture items are constructed of hardwood solids and veneers or hand-painted finishes over durable wood products such as medium density fiberboard (MDF) and particle board. MDF and particle board are used in quality furniture for areas that need to be stable, such as large surfaces. These durable wood products do not expand and contract with heat and cold and do not absorb moisture as much as solid wood, which results in stronger and longer-lasting furniture.
