2 The majority of recycled wood comes from the Indonesian island of Java, where about 100 million people live. Old wood one finds abundantly, for example, of demolished or ruined houses, benches or cabins. But even old ships are sometimes used to produce furniture from recycled teak. We call this uniquely coloured sort of furniture OLD BOAT. This old wood is overhauled from the ground up and, for example, brushed before it gets processed into new furniture, such as chairs or tables. The reprocessing of the old wood is time- and energyconsuming. Most of it is done meticulously by hand, that s why the resulting furniture has it s price. Nevertheless recycled teak furniture is becoming more popular lately, not least due to their excellent product properties and their special look. Environmental friendliness plays an important role for many people and our wood furniture gives teak wood a unique second life for which not a single tree has to be felled. OLD TEAK is a very solid, low maintenance material. The surface of an old teak table top may not be perfect, but it s uniqueness and special appearance gives it a very special charm. Patch parts, flaws and signs of usage are intended! Just like the face of every person has it s own story to tell, the imperfections of our furniture give room to the history of it s heritage.
