Computer aided design is applied to the design of ceramic art, which is developed from the general shape design to the system of ceramic production management, product display and marketing. Therefore, computer aided design plays an important role in modern ceramic art design. In this paper, the author analyzes the development and application of computer aided design and its application in the design of ceramic art. Digital technology and its development in ceramic design Since the 40s and 50s of last century, with the rapid development of network transmission technology and many other products of comprehensive application of disciplines, plays a very important role in modern production and life. As one of the most important contents of modern product design, the design of ceramics and shapes can be analyzed and studied by computer aided design technology. This is the basic starting point of computer aided technology in the field of modern ceramic art design, and the introduction of three-dimensional technology is the inevitable trend of the development of computer aided technology. The computer aided design is very different from the traditional ceramic art design.
