4 Cutting edge design & solutions E-HOUSE for MODEC COMPASS ENERGY /// PROJECTS Compass Energy has established a reputation for providing intelligent engineering and outstanding service. Our aim is to deliver real value to the off-shore industry. Our highly qualified international field engineers always strive to create sophisticated designs and work on solutions satisfying the toughest requirements. Some of our completed projects include an E-House, the LPG FSO Gas Concord and the MOPU Soraya. We also handle a wide variety of studies for our clients. One of the most challenging projects is the Material Handling Study for an FPSO by MODEC for BP Angola. Compass Energy provided a detailed study on how to handle all items on board of the FPSO weighing more than 25kg. This extensive study prepared the client for the handling of all parts on board for repair or replacement purposes and avoid costs in the future. CHALLENGE Design two of the largest E-Houses currently installed on FPSO s for MODEC/BP. SCOPE Layout and structural design, lifting engineering, cable routing and related cable-trays and piping system. BENEFIT Compass Energy undertook the design of two E-Houses for MODEC on a lump sum basis including the engineering for lifting and installation. This E-House allows the client to handle the high volume of energy generated on this FPSO. Excellent service with quality deliverables. 5 GAS CONCORD CHALLENGE Operator Conoco Phillips Indonesia requested assistance in exporting LPG from the Belanak field. SCOPE Design, convert and install an LPG-FSO. BENEFIT Compass Energy delivered an LPG-FSO which allowed the client to increase their revenue by capturing and selling the LPG. MOPU CHALLENGE NuCoastal Thailand Ltd needed an urgent replacement of a damaged production facility located offshore of Thailand. SCOPE Supply a mobile offshore production platform (MOPU) within the shortest possible period. BENEFIT Compass Energy and its partners prepared a MOPU that allowed the client to resume production within a record time of 5 weeks.
