3 WHERE ARE WE Avilés Municipality is the local authority of Avilés city. The city is situated in the North of Asturias, and has inhabitants.

4 WHAT DO WE DO The Welfare Services department provides a comprehensive array of social services to the local community ranging from citizen participation to housing or employment, leading to achieve the social cohesion in the city.

Atlantic Social Lab aims to develop and promote social innovation approaches and methods to give response to key growing social issues of the Atlantic Area, both within citizens, third sector and social enterprises as well as the public sector. in the following areas: Welfare services, Active public engagement, Green inclusive economy and Social responsibility in the private sector.

13 HOW ARE WE GOING TO Create a socially inclusive and sustainable model of regional development?

14 THROUGH ANALYSIS ATLANTIC SOCIAL LAB INNOVATION MAPPING The aim? to analyse what are the current unaddressed needs of the population emerging as a consequence of renewed social preferences and structural changes (demography, staff shortages, technological innovations, etc.). How? Mapping and analysis of the social need: - literature review - focus groups with other local and regional departments involved in the social services - meetings with the stakeholders

17 THROUGH EXPERIMENTATION After the identification of the main unmet social needs, partners will be implementing in their territories pilot actions to test on the filed innovative and new solutions to address the common challenges. Partners will create 4 working groups, one for each area of intervention of the project: Social innovation & welfare services Social innovation & active public engagement Green inclusive economy Social economy and social responsibility in the private sector COMMON LAB UNIT TO TEST NEW SOLUTIONS

21 THROUGH EVALUATION The partnership wants to design a Social and economic self-evaluation Kit with appropriate indicators to assess the impact of the social innovation initiatives.

22 AND ALWAYS IN PARTNERSHIP WITH LOCAL STAKEHOLDERS The project partners are pooling together a sound partnership of policy makers. NGOs, associations within the Stakeholder Partnerships, will also play a key role since they will disseminate and transfer the projects results. And the Atlantic Social Lab Ambassadors will help us in the communication and capitalization of the project outputs.

23 HOW DO WE WANT TO SHARE OUR KNOWLEDGE? Through the ATLANTIC SOCIAL INNOVATION OBSERVATORY, that will act as a Social Innovation Lighthouse

25 AND THE FINAL CONFERENCE The partnership will also organize a Final Conference and Capitalization event, organized in Pau in July 2019, under the motto Promoting social change The event aims at: - Showcasing the project outputs - Providing testimonies from the main beneficiaries - Present the impact of the social innovation in the AA You are all invited to visit us and attend the Conference! (The event will be announced in advance through the web, social media, mailing and publications)
