Our courses are designed by experts in the oilfield industry and are taught by the finest instructors in Schlumberger, engaging subject matter experts when needed. 4 Europe Learning Center (ELC) The ELC is equipped with the latest testing equipment and tools, which are used for basic and advanced training of individuals in downhole testing tubing-conveyed perforating (TCP) downhole pressure measurement reservoir sampling and analysis surface well testing and cleanup multiphase well testing and monitoring real-time well testing subsea landing string services. The center is built upon a 13-mi 2 [21-km2] property consisting of two testing flow loops one surface well testing simulator loop a subsea tower and dedicated workshop area a drilling rig and multipurpose well, 2,600 ft [800 m] an artificial lift pad one well, 165 ft [50 m] These facilities are used during training to challenge students with situations they will face in the field. Our surface well testing loops are designed to reproduce the exact setup used during field operations. The multiphase flow helps trainees deal with the different scenarios that may be encountered, such as gas wells and oil wells. The rig is used to simulate downhole operations. Students are given an assignment similar to a real drillstem test job, in which they are required to prepare actual tools in the workshop and conduct a real pressure test just as it would be done in an operational base. Under instructor supervision, students run the services according to our internal service delivery procedures. They must successfully run the tool in hole, make the TCP correlation, set the packer, perform an intense sequence of commands to reproduce the steps of a well test, and, finally, pull the equipment out of hole and verify the integrity of the well. a slickline pad and workshop one well, 2,600 ft [800 m] The ELC is located 43 mi [70 km] east of Paris in the town of Melun. The historic site of the Flopetrol product center, this is the oldest and largest learning center for Testing Services worldwide. It also hosts many other Schlumberger segments, including Artificial Lift, Integrated Project Management, Slickline, and the newest addition Mud Logging. 5 The same training process applies to the subsea tower, where students conduct a full set of function tests and simulate real-world latching and unlatching procedures. While our training environment mimics actual oilfield operations as closely as possible, it is the instructor's support that is paramount to the learning experience. Upon course completion, it is our goal that graduates feel comfortable and leave the training center with any doubts clarified. 6 Middle East & Asia Learning Center (MLC) The MLC is equipped with the latest technology testing equipment and tools to train individuals on a basic or advanced level of the following services: downhole testing tubing-conveyed perforating (TCP) downhole pressure measurement reservoir sampling and analysis surface well testing and cleanup multiphase well testing and monitoring real-time well testing. The MLC consists of these hands-on training facilities: surface well testing pad, three-phase loop surface well testing calibration lab electronic lab fluid analysis lab downhole tools workshop pressure test bay land rig. The MLC is located in Abu Dhabi, UAE. It is the largest Schlumberger training center with all company segments represented, enabling students to experience the complete well life cycle from seismic to artificial lift and understand the overlap and interaction between different tasks at the well site. The testing pad has a complete set of surface well testing equipment, from flowhead to burner. The individual equipment pieces that make up the surface well testing layout are assembled by students to simulate various well testing activities, such as measuring the flow rate of different well effluent using the data acquisition system, taking fluid samples, and disposing of the well effluent in a more environmentally safe manner. The layout system is designed to be compatible with three run phases: air, water, and nonflammable oil. Flow rate measurement can be performed by using either a three-phase separator or the multiphase flowmeter with Vx technology. Surface well testing training.

7 During the course, students encounter different well scenarios that are set up in advance by the instructor. In addition, students are trained on instrument calibration and checks. The downhole tools workshop is used by students to practice tool maintenance and simulate the job conditions at surface as a part of prejob checks. After tool preparation, a complete job is simulated on the MLC land rig based on well data that the instructor provides by running the DST-TCP string in hole, depth correlation using the Wireline unit, setting the packer, and operating the DST-TCP tools the same as a real job sequence. This allows students to operate independently, under supervision of the instructor, and to see how tools respond while activating downhole. By combining theory with practical, hands-on experience and engaging with subject-matter experts, trainees learn to be more responsive to changes that can occur at the wellsite and apply what they learn at the training center to real work situations.
