I would say that the book is a very good financial and operational review of more than 30 companies, including the National oil Companies, Integrated Oil Companies. The book also introduces royalty trusts which are also interesting. This book is an excellent tool for people wanting to learn more about the oil & gas industry and the different sectors involved in the industry. I liked the fact that the book defines all the financial & operational metrics, which allows for easier learning. The book builds on chapter by chapter and does an excellent job of introducing many companies. Highly recommend!!!! The book IS just a summary of facts about the Oil & Gas industry, but it explains all the various metrics and KPIs used in the industry and does a great job of explaining how all the various sectors work. Excellent book for someone who wants more insight for investing or possible career in the industry. This book is a great introduction for those looking to get a better understanding of the oil & gas industry. It gives a great financial overview of the energy sector plus the author does in-depth review of over 30 energy companies throughout this book. Of particular significance is the comparative analysis of the energy companies that the author includes towards the end. I highly recommend this book especially for those who are starting a career in oil & gas or taking a course on this subject.
