The Wild Duluthian s The Wild Duluthians was an ancient civilization that lived from around A.D. Very much is unknown from this short lived civilization. Archeologist and Anthropologists believe that they died out sometime in the year They do not know what killed them off, more than likely a disease from the famous Chattahoochee River (possibly Typhoid Fever). They were an advanced civilization with cities and technology. However, sickness and disease overcame their civilization.

What we are going to do!! We are newly graduated archeologists and anthropologists from the highly pristine Underwater Basket Weaving University. We are going to be in groups of three and each group will come up to the front of the room to look into the shoe box and pick out an artifact from the ancient civilization of the Duluthians. We will tag the artifacts and categorize them in our baggies. Each student will have to look at the artifacts and see where they need to be categorized according to where they think that they should be placed. Students will have their own category sheet. Please write the name of the artifact on your sheet. What do you think that it was used for?

Shoe Box Dig Its time to get our Indiana Jones game face on!!

Closing Ticket Out the Door Think about your own personal lives and our civilization. What do you think archeologists will find when they dig through our stuff? How will they be able to explain the artifacts?

Around Neolithic 3,000 B.C., Revolution some farming villages became complex civilizations. Brainstorm: What characteristics are needed to makes people a civilization?? Advanced cities
