The Electrical Simulation Laboratory is intended to enhance the learning experience of the students in electric circuit theory and principles through actual simulation, testing and measurement using comput

ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING Classroom Facilities Laboratories

Electronic Circuits & Industrial Circuits Laboratory is intended in modeling, analysis, design of circuits and electronics using lumped circuit models for sources, resistors, capacitors, inductors, diodes and transistors and exploration of the role circuits and electronics play in the context of career choices, societal needs, the environment, and ethical considerations. The Microprocessor/Microprocessor Laboratory is intended to enhance the learning experience of the students in electronics subjects. The laboratory includes equipment for basic studies of characteristics of semiconductor devices, microprocessors and microcontrollers. The students are also expected to gain experience using electronics devices such as servo Trainer and Programmable Logic Trainer In Data Communications Laboratory, students learn the technical details and analysis using Packet tracer software. For further study, they implement these with different devices provided in this laboratory. There are normally three networking environment - Peer to Peer Networking, Client-server networking and Routing. All experiments may be observed by wire line or wireless equipment. The Digital & Analog Communication Laboratory is intended to enhance the learning experience of the students in communication subjects. The laboratory includes equipment such as Antenna System, Microwave System and Telephony System. Computing Resource The Computer Application Laboratory is equipped with the state-of-the-art computers and are provided with software such as Solidworks, MATLAB and Toolboxes which includes: Control System, Signal Spectra, Symbolic Math that students can use for their regular coursework, experiments, research, design and other academic enrichment activities.

GRAPHICS AND MULTIMEDIA Classroom Facilities Classrooms are provided with two Air-Conditioning Units and are equipped with plasma TV Computing Resource The imac Laboratory is a design studio room equipped with Apple's high-performance and all-in-one Macintosh desktop computers powerful enough for a production and design studios. Comprised of 31 seat imac computer facility installed with Adobe Creative Suite software like Illustrator, Premiere and 3D Max, the laboratory is mainly used for graphics design and multimedia courses and intended for students to develop and enhance their talents and creative abilities essential in today's digital advertising and design industry.

The Graphics Simulations Laboratory Rooms are equipped with 30 units of highperformance desktop computers which are also powerful enough for production and design studios. This computer facility is installed with 3DS Max and Adobe Creative Suite 6 Master Suite Collection consisting of several Adobe applications like Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver, the laboratory is mainly used for graphics design and multimedia courses and intended for students to develop and enhance their talents and creative abilities.

INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING Classroom Facilities Classrooms are provided with two Air-Conditioning Units and are equipped with plasma TV Laboratories The Computer Integrated Manufacturing Laboratory (CIM) Laboratory is primarily used by Industrial Engineering students to perform exercises in manufacturing engineering, time and motion study and other elective courses. It is also used to cater other engineering programs such as EE, ECE and ME in order to perform experiments involving PLC (Programmable Logic Control Programming), Industrial Electronics, robotics and CNC (Computer Numerical Control System Programming). The entire equipment could perform various tasks in an actual industry setting.

The Machine Shop is a hands-on, real time, learning environment. It provides the students the equipment necessary to develop their machining capabilities. Equipment and tools available include basic measuring tools, bench work tools, lathe machines, milling machines, drill press and welding machine. The Ergonomics Laboratory is primarily designed for Industrial Engineering students taking up Ergonomics, Human factor Engineering and other elective courses. The laboratory helps the student learn the interface between human factor and workplace. This laboratory is equipped with instruments that will help the students analyze how human work is accomplished using analytical techniques of work measurement as well as method for analyzing the motion required to perform the work. Computing Resource The Computer Programming/Simulations Laboratory Rooms are equipped with the state-of-the-art computers and are provided with programming and simulation software such as ProModel, a discrete event simulation software that is used for evaluating, planning or designing manufacturing, warehousing, logistics and other operational and strategic situations and accurately represent real-world processes, including their inherent variability and interdependencies, in order to conduct predictive analysis on potential changes. The Computer Applications Laboratory is equipped with the computers and is installed with software like ProPlanner. Proplanner is a leader in process engineering and management software for manufacturers who assemble products. These applications automate, streamline and integrate engineering activities for industrial and manufacturing engineers who design and plan production systems for new and modified products. SAP (System Application and Product in Data Processing) is also used in one of our computer laboratories. SAP can integrate a manufacturing cycle production up to full capacity, with minimal to no error without getting lost in the dynamic nature of the manufacturing industry.

MECHANICAL ENGINEERING Classroom Facilities Classrooms are provided with two Air-Conditioning Units and are equipped with plasma TV Laboratories

The Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) is a highly automated metal fabrication machine that uses computer aided design and computer manufacturing processes. The Machine Shop is a hands-on, real time, learning environment. It provides the students the equipment necessary to develop their machining capabilities. Equipment and tools available include basic measuring tools, bench work tools, lathe machines, milling machines, drill press and welding machine. The Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Laboratory has been designed to provide students hands-on knowledge on the principles of refrigeration and air conditioning to be familiarized with HVAC system. Steam Engine Laboratory room is intended for Mechanical Engineering Students performing experiments involving heat transfer using heat engine that performs mechanical work in which steam as its working fluid. This laboratory also provides internal combustion engine, an engine in which the combustion of a fuel (normally a fossil fuel) occurs with an oxidizer (usually air) in a combustion chamber and a Diesel engine (also known as a compression-ignition engine), an internal combustion engine that uses the heat of compression to initiate ignition to burn the fuel.

Computing Resource The Computer Application Laboratory is equipped with the state-of-the-art computers and are provided with software such as Solidworks and MATLAB and Toolboxes which includes: Control System, Signal Spectra, Symbolic Math that students can use for their regular coursework, experiments, research, design and other academic enrichment activities.
