POST-EVENT REPORT About OTC The Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) is where energy professionals meet to exchange ideas and opinions to advance scientific and technical knowledge for the safe,

2 POST-EVENT REPORT About OTC The Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) is where energy professionals meet to exchange ideas and opinions to advance scientific and technical knowledge for the safe, environmentally friendly, and sustainable development of offshore oil and gas resources. Since 1969, the world has come to OTC to make critical decisions and share ideas to meet the world s energy needs. In its history, shifting business, political and economic paradigms have altered the complexion of the conference, but not its status as the one mustattend technical conference for engineers and scientists working in offshore energy. OTC is sponsored by 13 nonprofit organizations in the energy sector, who work cooperatively to develop the technical program. Revenue from the not-for-profit event directly benefits the advancement of the energy sector by supporting these societies, whose members also receive discounted conference registration.
