The further development is marked by a series of innovations and the launch of new product lines SCR catalyst production begins. The ceramic honeycomb division is gradually extended by the introduction of the casting filter and heat media product lines A management buy-out leads to the establishment of the CERAM Group, which rapidly develops into the world s second largest manufacturer of porcelain insulators The insulator division is sold, thus making catalysts and non-catalytic honeycombs the two main business areas of Porzellanfabrik Frauenthal GmbH.

KNOW-HOW VERBINDET Porzellanfabrik Frauenthal GmbH is part of the Environmental Ceramics Division of Frauenthal Holding AG, a Vienna-based company listed on the stock exchange. Situated in the rolling hills of western Styria, CERAM-Frauenthal develops and manufactures extruded ceramic honeycombs for various applications including catalytic and non-catalytic exhaust gas purification as well as supplies for the casting industry. CERAM Environmental Inc. was founded in 2001 as a subsidiary of Porzellanfabrik Frauenthal GmbH in Kansas, USA, in order to meet the growing demands of the North American SCR market. Its main objectives are business development, customer support and after sales service within the framework of our CATLife programme.
