Clean-Edge Blanking Clean-Edge Blanking is the process of stamping high-tensile, pre-tempered materials to create a maximum edge condition with minimal shear and controlled breakage. It reduces stress risers on the blanked edge, thus increasing fatigue life. This results in the lowest number of fatigue failure initiation sites, which is essential for long-term, consistent performance of stamped parts. It also minimizes burr occurrences and controls edge condition which are critical for customer requirements.
