1 A selective list of sociology journals suitable for qualitative paper submission Compiled by Nick Fox, University of Sheffield, 2013 IF = Impact Factor General Journals Papers submitted to these journals should be of interest to a general sociological audience Journal and web address IF Notes British Journal of Sociology Journal of Sociology Qualitative Sociology Sage Open Sociology Sociological Review Sociological Research Online High quality international journal that has represented the mainstream of sociological thinking and research. 0.9 Papers on sociological research and theory on issues of interest to a primary Australian sociology audience. 0.8 Theoretical and analytical research based on interviewing, participant observation, ethnography, historical analysis, and content analysis. - Open access journal of social and behavioural sciences and the humanities.
