3 Chairman s Message We continue to be the global metal and steel force! Today, we, Tosyalı Holding, are proud of being a company that adds value to our country and the geography we are located, with our activities in 3 different continents and over 20 locations. I would like to emphasize that we are determined to write a success story as a global steel force in Europe, like we did in Turkey. Tosçelik Nikšić, our plant that celebrated 60th anniversary recently, is of a great importance for Tosyalı Holding s global growth and our power in the region. The plant, founded as Željezara Nikšić in 1956, has been a part of Tosçelik since Through our investments, we have increased the production capacity of the plant and brought our value added steel industry knowledge to Montenegro. We continue our value added production with high technology application for various areas that are counted as the driving forces of the regional economy - such as the machinery, defense, energy and automotive industries - from our Nikšić plant. As a Turkish company, we desire to show the power of our country s economy and Turkish entrepreneurs capabilities to the world. Our goal is not only to be one of the biggest producers in our country and region, but also to become one of the world s biggest producers... For this reason, it is very important for us that we are the main pipe supplier of TANAP, dream project of the century. Also we are proud of Tosyalı-Toyo Çelik A.Ş - our joint venture with Toyo Kohan, one of Japan s leading companies, established in With these initiatives that will excel our country beyond the levels, our goal is to meet the needs of our country as well as the needs of the broader geography, from Europe to the Caucasus, from the Middle East to North Africa... At this point I would like to add that our main philosophy as Tosyalı Holding, is to add value to the region we are located. We are aware of Montengrin and especially Nikšić community s trust and support. It is our top priority to continue being a company that provides employment to the region and adds value to the Montenegrin economy, just as we value our country s economy. Today, Tosçelik Nikšić plant is one of the cornerstones of our production power, with the annual capacity that exceeds 3.5 million tons. In the forthcoming period, our goal is to reach 6 million tons of production. The Montenegrin plant, as an important crossroads location especially for the exports to Europe, will continue to have a strategic significance in Tosyalı Holding s targets and plans. 4 about us Tosyalı Holding Tosyalı Holding is one of the leading steel manufacturers in Turkey. The Holding s Headquarter is located in Hatay Iskenderun, and company has many production facilities in domestic and international locations such as Osmaniye, Istanbul, Izmir, Algeria and Montenegro. Following this motto, in the beginning of the 21st century, the company s range of production expanded significantly and the export value of Tosyalı Holding has reached up to $ 800 million. Tosçelik Alloyed Engineering Steel Nikšić Tosçelik Nikšić has a glorious tradition of 60 years in steel production, with wide range of products and technologies used in the production lines. Former Željezara became a member of Tosyalı Holding in Since then, Tosyalı Holding has been conducting the investments under the new name Tosçelik Nikšić in order to improve and modernize production technologies and achieve high product quality. Some of Tosçelik s most substantial investments are SVC (System for Compensation of Reactive Energy) installation, the new vacuum station in the melt shop, burners on the EAF (Electrical Arch Furnace) and Ladle Furnace Revamping, the new RHF (Rotary Hearth Furnace) for reheating ingots and blooms in the forging mill, new lathes for turning bars and other technical improvements. Tosçelik Nikšić is one of the major steelmakers in Europe and one of the leading industries in Montenegro. We determine and control the Work Health & Safety and Environmental Risks related to our business activities in a systematic manner in line with Legal Legislation, OHSAS and ISO standards.
