7 NorMER s Grand Challenges: Cod as a Model of Climate Change Impacts 1. Develop a comprehensive model of physical processes and their influence on marine food webs 2. Define the importance of lower trophic levels and their influence on harvested species 3. Detail the drivers, patterns, and trends of harvested populations 4. Create guidelines for optimal management of marine resources to maximize profit and yield, now and in the future This has been done for all northern seas (North Atlantic, Baltic, Barents, North, Iceland)!
