Requirements for each course (1)Discipline : Petroleum Business Subject : Project management, risks and decision analysis *Commercial (basic) 5 days Intermediate Geologists, geophysicists, drilling engineers, production engineers, reservoir engineers, non-technical personnel with 5~10 years experience and other personnel who need to improve their understanding of petroleum business. The course provides targeted knowledge and techniques on project management and decision-making in upstream petroleum business. Participants will learn how to identify and evaluate risks and uncertainties, and how to make plans and budget based on stochastic risk evaluation through exercises and case studies. Fundamentals of Economics for Upstream Business Risk Analysis and Quantification Reserves Definition and Management Management of Uncertainties and Risks Decision Analysis Value of Information M&A Portfolio Analysis and Management/Optimization Case Study Exercise (*) * insure enough time Simulation 30% of whole contents expected contents of case study or workshop: Design a project management plan, develop risk identification/category, apply risk analysis, monitor and control the project, and portfolio management Some Software or exercise of Microsoft Excel etc. preferred such as Crystal ball by Oracle. 2 (2)Discipline : Petroleum Business Subject : Upstream Business Simulation and Asset Management 3 days Intermediate Advanced Geologists, geophysicists, drilling engineers, production engineers, reservoir engineers, non-technical personnel with 4~more than 10 years experience and other personnel who need to improve their understanding of petroleum business. This course is to provide an opportunity to learn principles and practices of oil and gas upstream asset management through E&P business simulation. Lectures are designed to present principles and various aspects of the asset management and a practical workshop is intended to provide the attendees with experience of applying the principles to a realistic business situation. Oil & Gas upstream assets, classification and characteristics. Oil & Gas asset management principles and practical methods. Oil & Gas asset management at exploration, development, production operation, and abandonment stages. Decision making process at various stages. Lifetime (from exploration to de-commissioning) asset management. Oil & Gas asset management, considerations related to asset classification / features (product characteristics and market conditions, geographical regions, history, etc.) Application of country risk analysis, SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunities, Threats) analysis, PEST (Political, Economic, Social, Technical) analysis to the management of Oil & Gas assets. Portfolio management for multiple Oil & Gas assets. approx. 50 % of whole contents expected contents of case study or workshop Attendees form small size teams and are to study various information of a given prospect in a fictitious country (virtual asset) and to develop asset management plans from exploration, development, production and abandonment) with the aim of maximizing the value of the asset by applying methods and principles learned at lecture sessions. Option e.g. Oracle Crystal Ball, etc. (This is a spreadsheet-based application for risk measurement and reporting, Monte Carlo simulation, time-series forecasting and optimization. Crystal Ball provides a realistic and accessible way of modeling uncertainty enabling you to measure and report on the risk inherent in your key metrics.) ( enough the course.) - 2 -

3 (3)Discipline : Geology Subject : Integrated Basin Analysis 5 days Intermediate Geologists, geophysicists, reservoir engineers with 4~8 years experience and other personnel who need to improve their understandings of Basin Analysis. Understand the theory and workflow of Basin Modeling through lectures and exercises. Class Room lecture (2 days in Total) Overview of Basin Analysis - Overview of Basin Modeling (Workflow: 1D, 2D, 3D) - Characteristics of Modeling Software - Model definition (Input parameters) - Calculation (Burial history, Thermal history, Maturity history and so on.) - Simulation and Calibration (Migration and accumulation, Oil and gas reserve evaluation and so on.) Exercise, Case study and (3 days in total) Details are covered in the next section (Exercise, ). For about 2.5 days: (1) Well log upscaling (2) Basic Geostatistics (3) Facies modeling - Know-how to select an algorithm for each sedimentary system - Techniques of setting parameters of each algorithm - Demonstration (4) Petrophysical modeling (Porosity, Permeability, Saturation) - Practical techniques of property modeling - Saturation height function - Demonstration For about 0.5 day: Volume calculation and Uncertainty analysis Case study 30% of whole contents Exercise for parameter settings, Sensitivity analysis of modeling results. enough licenses during - 4 -

This course delivers a practical understanding of seismic velocity and depth conversion. Learn the typical velocity types and their meanings. Understand the methods of velocity representation, and use them for depth conversion. 6 (6)Discipline : Geophysics Subject : Principles and Applications of Seismic Amplitude Analysis for Reservoir Evaluation 5 days Intermediate Advanced Geologists, geophysicists with 4~more than 10 years experience and other personnel who need to improve their understanding of petroleum business. This course should cover the basic principles and application of AVO analysis, seismic attribute analysis, and seismic inversion. Attendees will get an understanding of the principle of each analysis, and also advance knowledge of analysis procedure and interpretation methodology through an abundance of case studies and practical exercises. Learn the sand control technique, covering the theoretical interpretation of sand production based on rock mechanics, the prediction model, various types of screens and the procedure of operations. Characterization and identification of friable formation, reasons and consequences of sand production, rock strength and sand production prediction Overview of each method of sand control and approach in service company with various examples. To provide the skills for increasing the proven reserves, discovering by-passed pay, reducing development time and costs, improving production rates, and rejuvenating old fields in a multi-disciplinary team environment. Fundamentals for geostatistical reservoir modeling Fundamentals and exercises (with Petrel ) about geostatistical topics as below; - Variogram - Kriging (Simple, Ordinary, etc.) - Conditional simulation (Sequential Gaussian Simulation, Sequential Indicator Simulation, etc.) Upscaling 40% of whole contents expected contents of case study or workshop Exercises of actual reservoir modeling and/or uncertainty quantification. 12 (12)Discipline : Production Facility Subject : Offshore Well Abandonment and Decommissioning Technologies 3 days Intermediate Drilling, facilities and production engineers with 4~8 years experience and other personnel who need to improve their understanding of petroleum business. The course will provide offshore well abandonment and offshore facilities decommissioning technologies, planning and cost & schedule estimation methodologies.
