3 More about the speakers Dr. Indre Viskontas is a cognitive neuroscientist and operatic soprano pioneering the application of neuroscience to musical training at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. In addition to her work as a professional singer and educator, she has published more than 50 articles and book chapters on memory and creativity. A passionate science communicator, she co-hosted the docuseries Miracle Detectives on the Oprah Winfrey Network and her popular science podcast, Inquiring Minds boasts more than 7 million downloads. She currently cohosts Science in Progress, a web series on VRV. She is a sought-after public speaker and a frequent guest on City Arts and Lectures, among other radio programs. Her 24-lecture courses, 12 Essential Scientific Concepts, and Brain Myths Exploded: Lessons from Neuroscience are now available on Audible and The Great Courses Plus. Her new podcast, Cadence - what music tells us about the mind launched to critical acclaim in early Jens Ole Pedersen is CEO in Philips Health Systems Denmark and chairman for Welfare Tech - Innovation Network for Health and Welfare Technology as well as the Cluster Welfare Tech. With a degree as a veterinarian from the University of Copenhagen, an MBA from CBS and a business Ph.D. from the Academy of Technical Sciences, Jens Ole Pedersen has spent his entire career in the intersection between research and marketing. The combination of science and commercial insight and experience fits well with his current position meeting the challenges in healthcare and technology. Dr. Jan Larsen received the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) in 1989 and Dr. Larsen is Professor of Computer Science and Complexity (as of January 1st 2016) at Department of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science, DTU. Jan Larsen has authored and co-authored more than 150 papers and book chapters within the areas of machine learning, signal processing, and cognitive systems with application to audio, multimedia, sensor data, monitoring, biomedical, data/web-mining, and pattern recognition.

4 Jens Christoffersen (PhD) joined the VELUX Group in 2010, as part of Stakeholder Communications and Sustainability and member of the knowledge center in the area of daylight, energy and indoor climate. In that capacity, he works to improve our understanding of the role of daylight as a contributor to well-being, as well as various industry and standards committees related to daylighting. Before joining VELUX, Jens worked at the Danish Building Research Institute for almost 20 years. For more information, visit Niels Christian Nilsson holds a PhD in natural interaction in virtual reality from Aalborg University Copenhagen. He currently works at the same institution as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Architecture, Design and Media Technology. Niels research interests include natural interaction in virtual reality, user experience evaluation, presence studies, perception and cognition within virtual environments. Stefan Kalmar is a Health Technology Engineer B.Sc. as well as a musician. He is employed at AudioCura Aps as project manager. Stefan has also worked at The Regional Hospital in Horsens as innovation consultant and at Aarhus University Hospital as project manager. Stefan is a pianist, composer and drummer.

5 Bjørn Wennerwald is a Healthcare Innovator at Wavecare ApS. Bjorn has worked with healthcare innovation for more than a decade with the purpose reduce hospital stress for patients and staff using the three elements light, audio and imagery combined into one application. Improved medicine uptake for contrast agent, safer deliveries and preventing force inside psychiatric wards are some of the subjects to be mentioned in this keynote under the subject, Ambient Applications". Jesper Roy, Founder of Takeawalk 360 has been a Tech entrepreneur for the last 8 years. Today he works with VR and 3D and uses his knowledge from both areas to improve the lives of elderly citizens at nursing homes! Jesper is participating in the development of several health solutions and always contributing with high energy and straightforward considerations about the technological impact on our future lives!
