5 Our mission is to combat the inequality gap, building an innovative platform of integral development as an engine of change. We focus our efforts on increasing the income of people in the communities of Los Altos de Chiapas, Veracruz and Yucatán. We work with relevant economic sectors in the local economy, as well as in priority areas such as education and gender equity, to improve the quality of life in the communities. The regions in which we work, like much of the rest of the country, are facing increased economic inequality, and the vast majority of those who suffer extreme poverty are indigenous people. This is why today, more than ever, we have to join forces, form alliances, and continue to work to build a more just and ethical society. We want to build bridges between producers and conscious consumers in order to generate sustainable development. We will continue to expand and work towards empowering women, producers, and young people, helping to generate beneficial links between them. Photraphy: Impacto Comunicación 5

We engaged in collective work sessions in order to fully understand specific problems and to generate new proposals for the solution and integration of an approach in our internal operation that would be consistent with the training given to craftswomen, always keeping in mind the vision of combined philanthropy and social enterprise. We continued our focus on a participatory approach and on ethical trade, which we have used as a working tool in Impacto-Textile from the start. We trained 94 artisans in new product development, quality, finishings, use of color, and held workshops on understanding costs. We improved the productive capacity of the groups, linking designers and social brands with very high-quality products to improve family income. We managed direct economic endowments for the artisans of $103,000 Mexican Pesos for the purchase of raw materials and production equipment through the National Fund for the Promotion of Artisanry (FONART) and the House of Artisans Institute of Chiapas (Instituto Casa de las Artesanías Chiapas). 6

In partnership with the Center of Textiles of the Mayan World (CTMM), we were able to co-develop three training experiences: Embroidery; Back-strap loom, two artisans from San Juan Cancuc

8 In partnership with the Center of Textiles of the Mayan World (CTMM), we were able to co-develop three training experiences: Embroidery; Back-strap loom, two artisans from San Juan Cancuc participated as teachers of this workshop, having as students the general public and acquiring the experience of teaching others; and Three-dimensional embroidered jewelry, we shared expenses in per diem and workshop fees. We participated in the 2nd Mesoamerican Textile Encounter Textim in Oaxaca with a conference called Product development as a tool for social articulation. As part of the activities as members of the UNESCO Creative Cities Committee, we are now connected with local creative and artistic players, who have contributed in the understanding of the productive and artisanal sector of the city and surroundings; also as part of the Committee, in the context of the 2nd San Cristobal de Las Casas International Film Festival, we integrated and linked brands with artists invited to the event promoting local social enterprises. We collaborated with the organization K inal Anzetic in the development of leadership for young women, and in sharing best practices for topics related to the financial sustainability of NGOs. With the organization Batsil Antsetik, we participated in a call for federal funds. Impacto Textil, if the call is successful, will be a fundamental partner giving workshops to which are a mirror of those already developed in this period. Photography David Blohn 8

Our intention is to position artisanal textile with the younger generations through social networks was a year of growth and strengthening of #ViernesTradicional (VT). Our achievements: 1000 We participated in the 2nd Mesoamerican Textiles Event at the Textile Museum in Oaxaca, with the presentation: Traditional Friday: virtual platforms for the promotion of artisanry. We created content to strengthen and expand the initiative. Two partnership agreements were signed with FONART and with the House of Artisans institute of Chiapas, which helped to consolidate the platform In one year we grew from 15,000 followers to28,000 in total. Twice a month we presented artisan profiles to go with specific monthly themes. For this we relied on brands or projects that sought promotion on the platform as an exchange, or directly with artisan seeking commercial benefit

12 We organized monthly competitions with specific themes which required extra information or content in addition to the selfie. The awards were sponsored by artisans, brands, or projects seeking promotion on the platform. We created infographics on the basic parts of an artisanal garment to accompany the specific theme of the month. We reached out to projects that work responsibly with artisans and carried out joint activities for our mutual benefit. We are still in the phase of positioning, with a participative Council whose expertise will guide us toward specific strategies for nurturing community dynamics. IMPACTO-EDUCATION We developed innovative bilingual didactic materials from English to Tseltal for indigenous youth. The first phase was carried out in Majosic, in the municipality of Tenejapa.

13 IMPACTO-EDUCATION We developed innovative bilingual didactic materials from English to Tseltal for indigenous youth. The first phase was carried out in Majosic, in the municipality of Tenejapa. This project is part of ACCESS, a global program sponsored by the State Department of the United States, that aims to provide tools so that young people can have access to a decent life, connecting them beyond the multifaceted borders (social, economic, physical) of their communities with youth from around the world. As part of the program we offered: Printing of Beyond Borders, support material for teachers and learners of English in Tzeltal communities. 2 Storytelling workshops in which young people acquired knowledge of literary creation and storytelling basics. Basic workshop on video editing, using digital and technological tools. 13

15 IMPACTO-MORINGA Thanks to the support of the UP de Sí Vale Foundation, Impacto-Moringa supported 200 women on issues of nutrition, reforestation, and marketing of Moringa, known for its high nutritional value. Our achievements: We trained local promoters in the planting of Moringa, with Dr. Nestor Espinoza Paz who is a specialist in its cultivation. We installed 4 greenhouses: 3 in Veracruz and 1 in Yucatán. Each one has more than 1,000 trees. We carried out a baseline study to adapt the content of workshops to local needs. We started training workshops and delivered the first Moringa trees to Veracruz. In Yucatan, we established 200 hectares of Moringa. We explored ways to integrate Moringa into the daily diet, since it can help prevent some of the serious nutritional problems prevalent in Mexico such as obesity and diabetes, and thus contribute to physical and cognitive development. 15
